A Supportive, Independent Voice for Ambitious Leaders

Business Thinkers was founded to help business owners and leadership teams think more clearly, make better decisions and build organisations that grow sustainably.

Led by Simon Buck, the business combines structured strategic thinking with a practical understanding of how organisations actually operate day to day.

Simon works with founders, CEOs and senior leadership teams who want to unlock the next stage of growth in their organisations.

With a background in fast-paced FMCG supplier markets and many years supporting businesses across a wide range of sectors, he understands the commercial realities leaders face.

Simon’s role is often described as a trusted external advisor — someone who can step back from day-to-day pressures and help leaders think clearly about strategy, people and priorities.

His style is informal but focused, combining:

  • structured thinking
  • practical commercial insight
  • calm challenge when needed
  • supportive accountability

Frequently asked questions

Who do you typically work with?

We work with business owners, CEOs, managing directors and senior leadership teams who are looking to strengthen their strategy, leadership capability and organisational performance.

Do you need to know our sector?

Not necessarily. The leaders we work with are the experts in their own sectors. Our role is to bring an external perspective on leadership, strategy and organisational growth — principles that apply across industries.

How are engagements structured?

Every engagement is tailored to the needs of the organisation. Some leaders prefer regular one-to-one advisory sessions, while others focus on leadership development programmes, strategy workshops or team sessions.

Can you run strategy sessions or leadership events?

Yes. We regularly facilitate leadership away days, strategic planning sessions and development programmes tailored to each organisation’s goals.

How long do clients typically work with you?

Engagements vary depending on the organisation’s stage of growth and priorities. Some leaders work with us on short strategic projects, while others maintain a longer-term advisory relationship as their business evolves.

Am I tied into long terms contracts?

No. We don't believe in long term contracts. You should only continue to invest in coaching if you are seeing a positive ROI. We therefore ask for 1 months notice if we aren't delivering value. Typical engagements last between 12 months and 5 years.
